Graham Easton of G1 Construction contacted Smart Cladding Supplies to ask for help with the supply of cladding materials. With Cedar cladding in such exposed positions we needed to come up with the look the customer wanted but also ensure it is durable.
In such an exposed site the cladding was going to fade quickly, and although this can provide a nice finish, in this instance it was important that the colour and vibrancy was kept. We used Sikkens micro porous treatment to ensure a weather resistant finish which should last for years without needing a re-coat. The UV filter stops the colour from bleaching and the micro porous element means the timber can breathe. |
